Welcome to the Network: OneSails Canary Islands

Alisios Sailing joins the OneSails family, bringing more than 30 years of nautical expertise, outstanding local service and a shared passion for sailing.

OneSails is delighted to welcome OneSails Canary Islands, operated by Alisios Sailing, to its international network.

Based in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the company brings more than 30 years of experience in the nautical sector and offers comprehensive services for boats and their owners. Over the years, it has built a strong reputation for combining technical expertise with attentive, reliable and highly personalized customer service.

For the Canary Islands team, joining OneSails is about more than expanding its capabilities. It is a partnership built on shared values: a passion for sailing, strong human relationships, teamwork and genuine enthusiasm for delivering excellent results.

“From the beginning, we felt a strong connection with the OneSails team. We share the same passion for sailing, the same commitment to our customers and the belief that the best results come from trust and teamwork,” says Octavio Jiménez.

Experience and Personalized Service

The OneSails Canary Islands sailmaking team has extensive experience with both cruising and racing sails, including genoas, gennakers, spinnakers and storm jibs.

Its knowledge covers the different demands of sailors, from dependable and durable solutions for cruising to the precision and performance required for racing. This experience allows the team to understand each boat, its sailing programme and the specific expectations of its owner or crew.

Using specialized machinery and materials from leading brands, the loft combines professional craftsmanship with a highly personalized approach. Every repair is assessed individually before work begins, allowing the team to identify the condition of the sail, recommend the most appropriate solution and extend its useful life whenever possible.

This careful evaluation ensures that every project is approached according to its particular requirements rather than with a standard solution. It also reflects the objective shared by every member of the team: to provide exceptional service and respond effectively to each customer’s needs.

A Shared Vision

The new loft is led by Octavio Jiménez and José Ponce, whose motivation, commitment and passion for sailing have shaped the company’s development.

Their partnership is defined by trust, natural synergy and a shared vision for the future. These qualities are reflected in the way they work with their team and build long-term relationships with their customers.

By joining OneSails, they can now combine their strong local knowledge, technical experience and customer relationships with the technology, expertise and international support of the wider network. The partnership also creates new opportunities to exchange knowledge, collaborate with other lofts and continue developing the services available to sailors in the Canary Islands.

Located in one of the Atlantic’s most important sailing destinations, OneSails Canary Islands strengthens the network’s ability to support both local and international sailors throughout the region. Its strategic location makes the loft an important point of support for boats based in the islands, as well as those visiting or preparing for longer Atlantic passages.

We are proud to welcome Octavio, José and the entire team to the OneSails family and look forward to building this new chapter together.
