In the heart of France’s sailing valley, Sail solution Loft is conveniently located for racers and cruisers along the entire Atlantic coast of France. With more than 500 square meters of sail loft space, plus an additional 200 square meters in an upholstery workshop, the loft has space for projects of all sizes and scale.
At Sail solution, our large team’s expertise ranges from offshore distance racing to one design, cruising, and everything in between. Every project is guided step-by-step to provide a custom solution to each customer’s unique needs and the particulars of each boat before recommending sail cloth, cut, and shape options. The team offers onboard measurement, delivery, and installation to ensure a perfect fit every time. Sail solution also offers sail care services, including repair, washing, storage, and winterizing, and manufactures technical textiles and accessories such as sprayhoods, biminis, awnings, boat or sail covers, and inside and outside cushioning.

Starting from a young age, Antoine has participated in every aspect of sailing, from cruising and racing all kinds of boats to windsurfing. To Antoine, “the most important thing is that you are sailing,” no matter the means. In 2000, he made the decision to make the yachting industry his career as well as his passion. Since opening the Lorient loft in 2011 with Yannick Audren, he and his team have been able to share their experience, expertise, and love for the sport with sailors everywhere. His goal is to help everyone love the sport of sailing as much as he does, and, in his words, “I am to make sails that I would love to sail with.”

Yannick grew up sailing in Brittany and Lorient, France, with his family, and recalls an especially memorable trip to Ireland and Spain on his family’s 8 Metre. He spent his summers working as a sailing instructor and racing until, at age 25, he embarked on a decade-long offshore adventure working aboard a geophysical seismic vessel. After returning to Lorient from his worldwide voyage, he decided to refocus on his primary passion: sailing and sailmaking. With a masters degree in general engineering, combined with his vast oceanic experience across many disciplines, Yannick’s wide range of perspective and talents provides Quantum customers with the best quality service and performance in every situation.

Benjamin’s involvement in the sport of sailing was inevitable — as a toddler, he took his first steps on a dock, and by the age of six was sailing Optimists and windsurfing. From there, Benjamin moved to match racing and was a member of many crews, racing Farr 30s, Figaro 2s, and other IRC boats. In 2007, Benjamin began working in sail production, mentored by sailmaker experts Gildas Dubois, of Quantum Sails France, and Maxime Paul, gaining expertise crafting sails for cruising boats and international classes such as Mini Transat, Figaro, IRC Class, Class 40, Imoca, and Volvo 70. He was a member of the Groupama crew for the Volvo Ocean Race, raced in the Challenge 67, Imoca, and Volvo 60 offshore series, and won the Tour de France A La Voile in 2007. Benjamin joined Quantum in 2020, encouraged by Quantum sailmakers Antoine Martineau and Yannick Audren. Today, he excels in building faster, better, and more efficient and versatile sails.

Beginning his career as a collaborator in a ship chandler, Pierre decided the next logical step to expand upon his passion for sailing and performance was to become a sailmaker. With an educational background that combines technical and commercial skills and navigation experience on several platforms, Pierre is able to quickly define the needs and expectations of each project, whether for cruising or racing. Outside of the loft, he seizes every opportunity to race, and particularly enjoys the Open 5.70 and Class 40.
