Rolex Sydney to Hobart 2013

The 69th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race 2013 came to the end on January 1st at Royal Club of Tasmania, where the Official Prize Giving took place, after six days of very demanding racing. The IRC and ORCi Overall win went to Darry Hodgkinson's Victoire, a Cookson 50 supplied with a OneSails laminate masthead A5. Phil Simpfendorfer's Veloce (Elliott 44CR) came in second place IRC, while Sam Haynes's Rogers 46 Celestial came in third place with a full OneSails inventory and a new 4T FORTE mainsail. Celestial also claimed a second place in IRC Div 2 and a second place in the Overall ORCi standings. 94 yachts, including 22 international entries, were on the starting line of the the 69th Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race to compete over the the 628 nautical miles course, often described as the most gruelling long ocean race in the world, a challenge to everyone who takes part.
